On 22nd January 2025, Somalia’s federal and Federal Member State audit institutions formalised the 2025–2027 Inter-OAG Collaboration Framework. Galmudug State is recorded as one of the participating Federal Member State Offices of the Auditors General.

The framework establishes a structured basis for cooperation while recognising the mandates of the audit institutions at each level of government. Its objectives include stronger professional exchange, improved coordination, shared learning and more effective oversight of public financial management.

For Galmudug OAG, the framework provides an institutional mechanism for technical engagement with peer audit offices, exchange of audit experience and coordinated action on issues of common professional interest.

Formal cooperation between audit institutions strengthens the wider accountability system by improving professional practice without compromising institutional independence.
