The Galmudug State Office of the Auditor General is the institution responsible for independent external audit of State Government accounts, public expenditure and public institutions. It examines whether public resources are properly accounted for, protected and managed in accordance with applicable laws and established financial requirements.
The Office plans and conducts audits, gathers appropriate evidence and communicates significant findings, conclusions and recommendations. This work provides independent information that can support legislative oversight, management action and improvements in public financial administration.
